Juhani Saukkoriipi

Planneri Group's planning director Juhani Saukkoriipi has been with the company for a year. He moved to Planneri from Rauma Marine Constructions.

"I liked being at the shipyard, but my job description at the engineering firm is more versatile, as it also includes administration and management team work," says Juhani.

Working for Planneri he can continue in shipbuilding which he has grown to know and love. Juhani entered the industry in a fairly common way. He did his university diploma thesis for the shipyard company STX, where he got a job after graduating. STX closed the Rauma shipyard, but after a few phases, Juhani returned to the Rauma shipyard and RMC's payroll six years ago.

"Spectacular entities that require special expertise are planned for the shipyards. Every ship is unique and offers a challenge to designer. Ships we are involved with are high-profile products, which arereally important to both buyers and makers," explains Saukkoriipi proudly.
