Roll-on/roll-off passenger ferry Aurora Botnia, ordered by the Finnish-Swedish joint venture Kvarken Link, was completed at the Rauma shipyard in 2021.

Shipping company Wasaline has been very satisfied with the environmentally friendly designed ship. Aurora Botnia’s engines can run on liquefied natural gas and, for example, biogas and battery energy.

Aurora Botnia, operating between Vaasa and Umeå, raised both passenger and cargo volumes to new record numbers - carbon dioxide emissions, on the other hand, were halved.

The vessel’s transport capacity is 1500 freight meters. The ship can accommodate 935 passengers.

In addition to the design of the ships, Planneri also participated in supporting the manufacturing process.
